Our courses are built to give you skills you can put to work straight away. Each one mixes short lessons with hands-on practice based on real client situations, so you learn by doing rather than just reading. Courses are included in your subscription at no extra cost.
Whether you’re just starting out or adding a new service to your profile, courses help you:
- learn in-demand skills step by step, at your own pace;
- practise on tasks that mirror real Projects before you take them on;
- build the knowledge you need for the platform assessment on your way to certification;
- keep useful guides, templates and checklists for your everyday work.
Finding and saving courses
My favourites
The Courses page is your personal shelf. It lists every course you’ve saved to your favourites, so the ones you’re interested in are always one click away.
To save a course: click the favourite icon on the course card. It appears in your favourites straight away.
To remove a course: click the same icon again. Removing a course from your favourites doesn’t delete anything you’ve already done in it.
Tip: keep your favourites list focused on the skills you’re working on right now. A shorter list makes it easier to stay on track and finish what you start.
Opening a course
Click any course in your favourites to open its page. Everything you need for that course is in one place: the description, the play session, the lessons, information about the instructor, reviews and comments. Each part is explained below.
Inside a course
| Part of the page | What you’ll find there |
|---|---|
| Description | What the course covers and what you’ll be able to do by the end |
| Play session | Interactive practice with quizzes and real-life tasks |
| Lessons | Step-by-step lessons, each with a quiz and downloadable PDFs |
| Instructor | Who created the course |
| Reviews | What other Talents thought of the course |
| Comments | Questions, tips and discussion with other learners |
Description
Start here to decide whether the course is right for you. The description explains:
- the topic and the main skills you’ll learn;
- who the course is designed for, from complete beginners to Talents with some experience;
- what you’ll be able to do once you’ve finished;
- anything you should know or have ready before you begin.
Play session
The play session is where you put your learning into practice. Click Play Session to begin. As you move through it, you’ll meet two kinds of activities:
- Quizzes that check your understanding with short questions;
- Real-life tasks based on the kind of briefs Clients actually send, so you can rehearse the work before you do it for real.
Take your time with each task and treat it like a genuine Project. The closer you work to real conditions, the more confident you’ll feel when a Client hires you.
Lessons
Each course is divided into lessons, so you can learn in small, manageable steps and fit your studies around your other work. Go through them in order for the best results.
Lessons are made up of one or more of the following. Not every lesson includes all three, so you might find a video in one lesson and a quiz or a PDF in the next.
- Videos that explain a topic or show you how a task is done.
- Quizzes to check what you’ve understood before moving on. If a question trips you up, go back over that part of the lesson.
- PDF documents to download, such as guides, templates, checklists or examples. Save them to your device so you can come back to them whenever you need them in your client work.
Instructor
This section introduces the person behind the course. You’ll see a short profile covering their background, experience and areas of expertise, so you know who you’re learning from.
Reviews
Reviews show how other Talents found the course and can help you choose what to study next. Once you’ve taken part in a course, you can add your own rating and review.
When you write a review, base it on your own experience and be fair and specific. Reviews that are fake, offensive or unrelated to the course may be removed.
Comments
The comments area at the bottom of the course page is a place to ask questions, share tips and learn from each other. To keep it helpful for everyone:
- stay polite and on topic;
- don’t share personal contact details or ask others to work with you outside Yosch Media;
- don’t post spam, adverts or links to unrelated content.
Courses and your certification
Courses are a great way to prepare for the platform assessment, which is one of the steps toward certification. Certification also requires paid work completed on Yosch Media and a capstone webinar that you host. You’ll find the full requirements in our guide How It Works for Talents.
Getting the most out of a course
- Set a regular time. Short, steady sessions work better than trying to finish everything at once.
- Do every task. The real-life tasks are where the learning sticks, so don’t skip them.
- Use the quizzes honestly. They’re there to show you what to revisit, not to catch you out.
- Keep your PDFs organised. Save them in a folder you can reach quickly when a Project starts.
- Ask in the comments. If something isn’t clear, chances are someone else has the same question.
- Put it on your profile. Once you’ve learned a new skill, add it to your skills and portfolio so Clients can find you for it.
