Posting a job tells Talents what you need so the right people can apply. The more complete and clear your post, the better the applications you’ll get.

Filling in the key fields
Contract type
| Type | Choose it when | How you pay |
|---|---|---|
| Hourly | The amount of work is hard to predict | An hourly rate for the hours you approve |
| Fixed-Fee | You know exactly what you need | One set price, which you can split into milestones |
| Skill Challenge | You’d like to compare several ideas first | A prize for the winning entry, funded upfront |
With a Skill Challenge, you only get the rights to the winning entry. Every other entry stays with the Talent who made it.
Skill Challenge rules
When you launch a Skill Challenge, you’ll be asked to confirm that Talents can start working on entries straight away. Then:
- If you’re a consumer, you can cancel within 14 days of launching and get the full prize back, as long as no entry has been submitted.
- Once the first entry arrives, the challenge can no longer be cancelled.
- Choose a winner within 30 days of publishing the challenge. Set your submission deadline well within that time.
- If you don’t choose a winner in time, the prize is split equally between everyone who submitted an entry, and you don’t receive rights to any of the entries.
Budget
| Rule | Limit |
|---|---|
| Any job | At least $5 |
| Skill Challenge prize | At least $10 |
| Freelancer jobs | At least $10 per hour or $150 per project |
| Largest single payment | $10,000 |
If your budget is below the Freelancer minimum, post the job for Freelance Apprentices. They’re learners building real experience, and a good fit for simpler, well-defined tasks.
Description and expertise
Explain the task, what you’ll provide, what the finished work should include and how you’ll judge success. Then add the specific skills the job needs under Project expertise, so the right Talents find it.
Project document and image
Attach a brief, specification or examples if you have them. A clear image helps your post stand out. Only upload files you own or have permission to share, and leave out any confidential or personal information.
Timing
Use How long will your work take? for your best estimate of the job’s length, and Project deadline for the date it must be finished. Give a realistic deadline, as rushed jobs attract fewer good applications.
Talent location
Choose Global to reach Talents in every country we work in, or Local if you’d prefer someone in your own area or time zone.
After you post
- Your job appears in the project listings and in your My projects tab.
- Talents who match apply, and you’ll see their applications under the job in My projects.
- Check each applicant’s profile, portfolio and reviews, then message the ones you like. The first message needs to be accepted before the chat opens.
- When you’ve agreed the details, send the Talent a contract and fund it into the Security Hold. Work starts once the funds are in place.
A few rules
- No unpaid work. Don’t ask for free samples or test tasks beyond a short proposal.
- Freelance, not employment. Set deliverables and deadlines, but not working hours or a workplace.
- Keep it on the platform. All work and payments with Talents you meet here must go through Yosch Media for 12 months.
- Adults only. Jobs mustn’t be aimed at people under 18 or ask for a minor’s details.
Tips for a strong job post
- Start the title with the result you want, not just the skill.
- Be specific about the deliverables and how you’ll judge them.
- Set a budget that matches the work, which brings in better applicants.
- Attach examples of what you like, so Talents understand your style.
